When we think of comics most people think of epic superhero stories of Superman or Batman, Captain America, Spider-man or Venom. But comics and graphic novels can really tell stories much broader in range than just that of superpowers and good versus evil. Truly nothing is impossible in the world of comics.

Ellinor Richey spend most of her younger years dreaming of bring imaginary things to life. It was not until she discovered comics that she realized she had found her medium to tell her stories. Junwraith is her
'Opus Maximum' if you will. Now the fine folks at Top Shelf Comic are releasing Ellior Richey's masterpiece in a beautiful paperback graphic novel.

Synopsis:
What happens when our most precious belongings... no longer belong? When something we loved suddenly becomes junk, a powerful energy is unleashed. One night, ice-skating prodigy Florence Sato is overwhelmed by pressure and throws away her skates. This fateful moment accidentally summons a "junkwraith," a terrifying ghost which seeks revenge for its abandonment by attacking the memories of its former owner. Before she forgets who she is, and to find out who she really wants to be, Florence must set off (with her trusty digital assistant Frank) on a long journey into the Wastelands to put to rest the monster she created.

When reading this graphic novel you can really tell Ellinor Richey put every bit of her heart and soul into this story. The story is so perfectly crafted and the artwork is simplistic, yet amazing. Junkwraith is 288 pages and once you start in reading you will find yourself not wanting to stop. The story gets more interesting with each page. It truly is a page turner.

It is hard for a writer to put everything you have out there. They never know how the world is going to respond to their creation. But Junkwraith is such a unique and interesting tale, Ellinor should be applauded for not giving up but continuing until her vision was completed.

Top Shelf Comics does such great work and their release of Junkwraith is no different. It is a graphic novel release of the highest quality. So if you are looking for a truly unique experience in a graphic novel. I do highly recommend Ellinor Richey's Junkwraith.
