Especially in the film Art School Confidential starring Hollywood heavyweights Angelica Huston and John Malkovich. Coming to Blu-ray as part of the MVD Marquee Collection.
The film follows Jerome, freshman at a prestigious art school. He dreams of being the greatest artist of the 21st century. But he is jealous of a clueless jock. So he hatches a plan to make a splash in the art world and win the heart of the prettiest gal in school. Will it all work out for him? Well, you'll have to watch the film to find out!
The film was directed by Terry Zwigoff and while you can see his handy work in this production, this in my opinion was not his best film. The story is OK, but there is the major plot and than a sub plot that was just completely unnecessary. It felt like a way to pad the film. The acting is good, but there is only so much actors can do with a flawed script.
Also this is a very adult film filled with profanity and nudity from models. This is by no means meant for kids and teens. Or for people who are offended by these elements.
MVD Marquee collection is never satisfied with bare bones blu-rays. So they have packed this release with bonus features including; a Making of Art School Confidential featurette, Deleted Scenes, Blooper Reel, Sundance Featurette and the original theatrical trailer.
