Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis were solo nightclub acts in the beginning of their careers! Martin was a crooner and Lewis was the clown the would lip-synching to records. One night the duo came together on stage and it was pure magic. They would become a comedy team that went on to do stage, radio, television and movies. Their partnership would last 10 years to the day.

These two were amazing on their own but they were pure gold together. Now the great folks at Mill Creek Entertainment is bringing us a special collection of movies and television shows that features Martin and Lewis at their best. Let's take a look at what is included in this collection.

                                             DVD #1: Jerry Lewis Triple Feature

Don't raise the bridge, lower the river (1968) – George Lester (Lewis), is an American living in London, whose schemes constantly get him into trouble. After numerous failed get rich quick schemes, he promises his wife he'll finally settle down, but wait – he has just one more idea! ***

Hook, line and sinker (1969) – Peter Ingersoll (Lewis) is living a humdrum existence as a family man and insurance salesman, When he finds out he has a  terminal illness, he decides to live life to the fullest, building up insurmountable debt. When the debt becomes too much, his doctor tells him he is actually not sick. but what he has a plan! ***

3 on a couch (1966) – Christopher Pride (Lewis) has been offered an important commission in Paris but can't convince his girlfriend, Dr. Elizabeth Acord (Janet Leigh), to take some time off from her psychiatric practice. Christopher, anxious to leave for France, decides to impersonate the ideal man for each of Elizabeth's patients, in hopes of lessening their dependency on her. **

Who Was That Lady? (1960) - After a misunderstanding with his wife a young professor tries to get back into her good graces by concocting a wild story that he is an undercover FBI agent. He enlists the aid of a friend who is a TV writer.  ***


How To Save A Marriage and Ruin Your Life (1968) - When a carefree bachelor tries to get his best friend to drop his mistress and return to his wife, he finds himself with romantic problems as well. ***

                                             DVD #3  Best of Colgate Comedy Hour

NBC TV's Colgate Comedy Hour featured some of the greatest comedy acts in TV and Movies on a weekly basis bringing entertainment into the homes of America. The team of Martin and Lewis graced the Colgate Comedy hour for many years. But they were never alone they had many stars come along with them for the fun including Jack Benny, Frank Sinatra, Burt Lancaster, Rosemary Clooney just to name a few.

This DVD set includes 4 DVDs featuring 28 episodes of the classic Martin and Lewis Colgate comedy hour shows. The audio and video quality of the movie and TV programs in this collection is really good. The films are fun and the TV shows are outrageously hilarious. I thoroughly enjoyed this collection and I can not recommend it enough.
